Discovering America's Job Centers: A Gen X Adventure (I Got Stranded!) Are America's job centers really helping people get back to work, and with Retraining or Career Building? Yes, they are. I went to a two-hour Orientation today with My Brother and Nephew. These things aren't for everyone, so My Brother and Nephew took off, leaving me stranded to take a 2 two-mile trek home. But, I was fine with it because I got my needed exercise and my needed steps for the day, and I went through the entire process getting me closer to my new career path I am on. The people at America's Job Centers were Amazing. You could feel the positivity in the air with every word they spoke. You could also feel how excited they were to help you begin your new adventure, and they were extremely helpful in answering all my questions through this 2-hour process. My Truck's Dead, I'm Broke & a Job Interview Looms! What Gives? Are you feeling lost and stranded with no job and no money? You're not alone! I can't believe I came out this morning to go to the store and found the truck won't start now. I checked under the hood and one of the Spark Plug Wires was disconnected from the Distributor. It looked as if it was torn out and broken in the process because the housing around the end was broken in half. I tried to put it back in place, and it seemed to pop back in but the truck still won't start. I can't buy the parts needed or have a mechanic look at it because I won't get paid from SSI till the end of next week and I have an interview on Tuesday Morning at 10.
